    CW Lewis, a novelist, once said that "literature adds to reality, it does not merely describe it." It enriches the necessary skills that daily life requires. and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. . Edmund Burke once said, “Society is indeed a contract. ...It is a partnership across all of science; a partnership in all art; a partnership in all virtues and in all perfection. .These two quotes describe what I have learned about individuals and society through the study of science and literature. By studying different sciences, from biology to physics to chemistry, I discovered that science is governed by theories and laws and operates with limited theoretical possibilities. However, from the literature, I have found that clarification helps us understand what we know. In this essay, I will present my knowledge problem by connecting how learning science contributes to the structure of society and how literature contributes to the development of the individual. While reading the novel "Major Barbara" by Bernard Shaw, I came across this quote "Well, you see, my dear boy, when you organize civilization you have to decide whether problems and anxiety are good things or No. Major Barbra was an idealist who worked in the Salvation Army; she believed that everyone could be saved through religion and that by praying she could solve world problems like hunger. However, his father, Mr. Under Shaft, who owned a weapons manufacturing factory, believes that "there are two things necessary for salvation...money and gunpowder."
