We worked very well to prepare each other to speak and expand on our group members' points. The presentation went very well overall. We have been very effective in attracting and maintaining public attention. We asked a series of questions in the introduction to stimulate interest from the start. In order to involve each member of the group in this first form of engagement, we took turns asking the audience questions. In addition to asking general questions of the audience as a whole, we also tapped specific individuals from the audience to make it more personalized. Throughout the body, we used a series of techniques such as audience polling, maintaining eye contact and other questions to maintain audience interest. At the conclusion, we handed out coupons and cups of hot chocolate to motivate our audience to come to our grand opening. Additionally, we realized that a monotonous, half-hearted presentation could easily disengage the audience. Therefore, we made it a point to speak with enthusiasm and passion throughout the presentation in order to capture and maintain the interest of our audience.
