Essay / So Many Negatives of Pesticides - 1125
Pesticides are types of compounds that kill pests such as insects, fungi, and unwanted plants such as weeds. They are used to kill mosquitoes used in public health and to kill pests that destroy agricultural crops. Their nature is such that these pesticides are very toxic to different species as well as humans. They must be disposed of properly and safely. Pesticides are one of those toxic substances that are released into the environment to intentionally kill living beings. Substances that kill weeds (herbicides), fungi (fungicides), insects (pesticides), rodents (rodenticides) and many others. To manage these specific pest problems, the use of toxic pesticides has become common throughout the world. Pesticides are used everywhere, such as in parks, buildings, schools, forests, homes and roads as well as in agricultural fields. Pesticides can be used anywhere from the bug spray that is used under sinks normally in kitchens to crops that are grown on acres of farmland. Apart from this, pesticides can be found in the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. • Organophosphate pesticidesThese types of pesticides seriously affect the nervous system by disrupting the enzyme that regulates the acetylcholine. the nervous system and in which it acts and functions as a neurotransmitter. Many organophosphates are pesticides. They were introduced in the early 19th century, but their effects on insects, which have similar effects on humans, were introduced primarily in 1932. Some are very toxic (they have been used around the world... . middle of paper...... chromatography.5) Thin layer chromatography (TLC): TLC is a fairly simple and rapid procedure but an inexpensive procedure. TLC gives the chemist a quick answer as to how many parts are included in a mixture. TLC is also used to confirm the identity of a compound in a mixture when the Rf of a known compound (preferably both run on the same TLC plate) is compared to the Rf of a compound6) Low-liquid chromatography pressure (LPLC): Low Pressure system is one such method which is used for purification of recombinant proteins and for working with the prepackaged columns.7) SpectroscopySpectroscopy is the method used for absorption as well as for emission or the diffusion of electromagnetic radiation. either qualitatively or quantitatively.
