    There are many families in American history who sent a beloved friend or family member to war and never knew what happened. happened to them. They didn't know if their loved one was one of the many dead soldiers who returned to America. Many of these families who had to suffer did not know what happened to their friend or family member. To honor all the unknown soldiers who gave the greatest sacrifice, their lives, a tomb was built in their name. Their lives are not the only sacrifice they have made to protect this country; they also gave up their identity. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is not only beautiful in its architecture, but also in the honor it bestows. A guard is placed outside the tomb 24/7 to protect the dead. Placing the wreath on the grave would allow me to show respect to my two great-grandfathers who served in the war. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was established in 1921 and is intended for the unknown soldiers who fought for freedom during the First World War. Second World War and Korean War. The first unknown soldier belonged to the First World War. At first, he was just buried with an ordinary marble placed at the soldier's burial site. In 1923, a group of civil guards guarded the tomb, but later the American army took over. The tomb there today was designed by Lorimer Rich and sculpted by Thomas H. Jones. The total cost of the tomb was $48,000 and it was made entirely of white marble from the Yule Marble Quarry in Marble, Colorado. On the side of the tomb that faces Washington DC, there are three symbols representing peace, victory and valor from left to right.
