Essay / Cigarettes Should Be Banned Essay - 982
In today's generation, there are around 1.1 billion people in the world who smoke. In about 30 years or more, half will be killed from tobacco use in cigarettes. Surrounding people can also get sick and possibly die by doing nothing wrong but simply breathing in the toxic tobacco air. This problem has therefore led the world to a debate on "Why should the sale of cigarettes be banned?" » What are cigarettes? Jeffery Wigand, PhD, a former tobacco industry executive, said, "A cigarette is an elegant form of drug delivery device." A small cylinder shape wrapped in rolling paper filled with 3 main contents; 20% is expanded, stemmed and recovered tobacco, 30% is reconstituted tobacco and 50% is processed tobacco. What is tobacco? Tobacco is a green plant believed to be grown in warm climates, but it has been known to grow all over the world. These tobacco leaves are then dried naturally and some will be put in the freezer to dry, which is called expanded tobacco. Both types will be cut into very small pieces by machines. With the remains of tobacco leaves that were swept up in the factories and the recoveries that are the cigarettes returned to the factory, they are all mixed and will be put in a giant “bath”. In a huge cylinder-shaped container filled with water, the tobacco leaf mixture that has been put in it will then be beaten like a beaten egg and will be constantly extracted or filtered like a tea bag to "remove" all the chemicals . . After being filtered, they are transferred to another bath, called a “Chemical Reaction Bath”. This is the procedure by which most of the harshness and bitter taste of a cigarette is reduced by using paper......tobacco, as they should ban anything that could possibly be harmful to our humanity. My personal statement and opinions on this global debate on whether or not the sale of cigarettes should be banned, I would be on the side of disagreeing with the argument that says no to banning cigarettes. I believe that everyone has the right to choose what they want to do with their life. Therefore, if the government banned cigarettes, some might feel that their rights have been taken away. Although smoking cigarettes is very harmful to the human body and has been proven to carry a high risk of cancer, the same can be true with fattening foods. The biggest problems of today's generation are smoking, obesity and many more. If people can choose to eat McDonalds and KFC every day, then in my opinion smokers can also choose to smoke every day..
