    The Mongol Empire was an empire composed of nomadic peoples. Furthermore, this empire would transform Afro-Eurasia into a place where alliances were made. However, the Mongols never had a stable empire, but "...managed to bring together parts of the world." (text, 459) This empire would eventually extend to all four corners of the “…major Afro-Eurasian worlds.” (text, 462) It was also an empire composed of forest and grassland peoples. The Mongol Empire was somewhat unstable but skilled in military campaigns and offered many roles for women; Additionally, the Mongols brought together various regions of Afro-Eurasia. Unfortunately, the Mongols were not as stable and durable as many other empires. Since the empire had no unified religion, it was a patchwork of Afro-Eurasian belief systems. An attempt was made to convert Mongolian animist nomads to Christianity when Kublai Khan and Halagu, mother of conquering emperors and many Europeans, prayed for the empire to convert, but the conversion did not occur.
