Deception in HamletDeception, misleading information, and spying on others can lead to their demise, whether intentionally or accidentally. The deceptive and deceptive examples in the play are indirectly responsible for Hamlets' death. Claudius misleads Hamlet when he sends him to England under the guise of a restful retirement and when he realizes that the new king has lied not only to him, but also to the Danish people about the death of the former king. Hamlet's deception comes from his mother believing that she betrayed his father's love by not mourning long enough after his death and marrying Claudius. Spying also poses problems for Hamlet down the line, as it leads to the murder of Polonius and the deaths of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Misleading instances in the room occur frequently. The moment when the ghost tells Hamlet that his death was not accidental and that he was poisoned by Claudius is what sets off the series of lies and murders in the play, (I;v;74-77)" Thus, I slept by the hand of a brother…/…/ cut off even in the flowers of my sin, homeless, disappointed, indecisive." Until the night of the "Mouse Trap", Hamlet still has some doubts in his mind about the Ghost's words. As soon as the king reacts negatively to the plot, Hamlet is one hundred percent sure that Clauduis was deceiving the whole country about old Hamlet's death; (III;ii;267) "O good Horatio, I will take the words of the ghost for a thousand pounds. Have you understood?" Hamlet sees the king storming out of the room, showing that he was affected by the death of the gambler king, seeing as he died the same way as his brother. It is also obvious that Hamlet is trying to deceive the general public by putting on a false face. His “antique character” allows him to act without consequence. He is capable of appearing mad when it suits him, which allows him not to arouse suspicion about his actions, (I; v; 171-172) "As I will subsequently judge it opportune to take an ancient disposition on" After the murder of Polonius, his unsympathetic character allows Hamlet to avoid being held responsible. This leads to him being sent to England under the guise of a rest trip. Claudius once again deceives Hamlet and his mother by having another agenda..
