Dodo birds were initially discovered in the 1590s on Mauritius. However, they were declared extinct less than a century later, in 1681. These flightless birds were not afraid of humans and were therefore easily captured. The fact that a small flightless bird has the nerve to not be afraid of another larger animal shows its fearless attitude. Dodos were overhunted due to their behavior towards humans, bravery and merit, leading to their demise. Dinosaurs are also one of the incredible extinct animals. Dinosaurs were very important and even covered most of the world at one point. That was until Earth was hit by a meteor, changing the environment and killing the dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were too resilient for an Earth-shattering meteor to wipe them out, showing their dominance and greatness as a species. Javan tigers are unfortunately also part of the category of extraordinarily extinct animals. Javan tigers were so numerous in Indonesia at one time that they were considered a common pest. However, in the late 19th century, rapid increases in human population led to deforestation and massive habitat destruction. This massive decline in tiger habitat subsequently led to their extinction. The only reason Javan tigers went extinct was the literal destruction of an entire forest, inherently proving that this species of tigers had gone spectacularly extinct.
