Essay / Global Warming is a Fact, Not a Theory - 2311
When many people think about their future, they usually only consider things that will affect or benefit their personal lives. Things like what city they will live in or if they will have the same job in five years. Few people think about what may be happening in the environment around them. Global warming, also known as the greenhouse effect, is an increase in the total temperature of the Earth's atmosphere. It has received a lot of attention from scientists in recent years. However, this is not a newly discovered problem. It has evolved throughout history since 1928. But it is a system that began about eighteen thousand years ago (When did global warming start?). Global warming is something that has been delayed for many years, but many people will soon discover that it is affecting the Earth drastically every day. The majority of people across the world would most likely agree that they prefer warm weather to cold, which is what made Global Warming seem formidable at first glance. Until scientists began to realize that what was happening in the atmosphere would almost certainly do far more harm than good. And humans are largely to blame, as their daily activities release harmful gases into the air. These are all known as greenhouse gases, and there are three main ones. These are carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide (causes of climate change). These three gases are produced by natural activities such as volcanic eruptions, as well as human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels. However, water vapor is the most important greenhouse gas because it controls parts of the water cycle (causes of climate change).
