To advance our careers, we need to think strategically. Today's marketplace demands that we be both proactive and intentional in order to navigate the workplace, make good, logical decisions, and systematically evaluate opportunities to achieve our academic, personal, and professional goals. It's also important to know what you're aiming for, first. by setting yourself a goal and a timetable, because I believe the secret ingredient to success is taking ownership of your own ambitions and actions, then making the decisions necessary to achieve them.
