  • Essay / Logistics in Logistics Management - 1018

Reverse logistics describes the process of returning products to their original point of origin after sale, for example for servicing, refurbishment and recycling, in the goal of recovering value or disposing of them properly. The idea is to return the product to the manufacturer or distributor for a sustainable supply chain. Often the supply chain can be analyzed for gaps in the chain itself rather than in the products. The ultimate goal is to optimize aftermarket activity to save money and preserve the environment.
