  • Essay / Religion in my life - 1136

Religion is everywhere, even if we don't notice it. Some common elements of religion include group activities, morals, actions, and rituals. It may not seem like it, but these religious factors are involved in our daily lives, including mine. After learning more about religion, I am starting to realize how much it affects me on a daily basis. When it comes to group activities, I tend to get involved in them at school. From time to time, one of my teachers assigns me to a group to do a project or presentation. The same goes for sports. If I ever play football, I'm put on a team so I can take part in a match. When it comes to people belonging to a religion, they also tend to participate in certain group activities. This can involve things like masses, retreats, and holiday celebrations. So even though I don't participate in group activities that have anything to do with the spiritual or sacred, I still participate in similar situations. Then I will discuss morality. Everyone has a moral that they live by. In my opinion, morals are one of the key factors that define the type of person you are. I live my morals, because they are my guide to living a happy life. Some of these include family always comes first, treat others the way you want to be treated, and no matter how difficult things may seem, there is always a solution to every problem. Every day I try to be a good person. Every time I come into the game room after my classes are over, there always seems to be someone bullying someone else over a video game. I play this game called Brawl, which is basically a fighting game, and some people are not good at it, and those who are good at it tend to pick on others. I notice that every now and then...... middle of paper ...... we are done, there is usually some sort of festival at the entrance of the church where attendees can relax and enjoy food and drinks. This is something my family does once a year. We don't go to church as often as we should, but we make sure to do at least this ritual. In conclusion, some of the things I do could actually be described as religious since some religions participate in similar situations or actions. . I may not do some of the previously mentioned actions every day, but I do them nonetheless. Everything I said is a huge part of my life and it makes me who I am. I guess I could say that all of the things I've brought up are all religious guidelines for living my specific life. If I don’t follow these guidelines, I’m not truly being myself. Therefore, as long as I do things accordingly, I should live a happy life..
