  • Essay / Reflecting on Bullying - 1101

As a friend, partner, classmate, family member, etc., you are in a unique position to do something about the abuse you see. I firmly believe that to effectively combat bullying, you have to start with the bystanders and show them what they think it would be like to be the victim of a bullying situation and make them react in the way they would like their friends, family and spectators to react. and potentially help them. Bystanders react in one of three ways: they watch because they are afraid, they encourage the bully, or they improve the situation in different ways. Bullying is a major problem that affects lives and will be solved one day. To achieve this goal, there are steps that will start with understanding and addressing the physiological thoughts of the onlookers and just remember: “treat others the way you would like to be treated” people forget this simple way of life. There is less conflict when kindness and understanding are shown. However, do not become ignorant of the problem because it will always be there, but you have the opportunity to make a difference wherever you are, in any situation. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but don't confuse opinion with just unnecessary and hurtful speech, because you could really harm someone.
