While some children really belong in prison, others deserve a second chance. Ultimately, we all need to keep in mind that these are young children prone to making mistakes they didn't mean to. What I agree with is that we need to start recognizing the victim or their family in these cases, who seem lost in this debate. I also agree that we need to improve the juvenile justice system so that we don't have to resort to adult prisons as a last resort, and thus have more criminals leaving behind their past crimes to create a better life. Despite this, I continue to believe that young criminals do not deserve mandatory life imprisonment..
