Essay / Analysis of the Hippocratic Oath - 720
Brothers are often mentioned throughout the oath due to the dominant number of men involved. Reading the oath, it doesn't give any indication as to why this only concerns men. In conclusion, the Hippocratic Oath was an innovative tool for patients and doctors to establish a set of standards that would respect the views of society; this includes religious beliefs, using skills for good, and continuing to learn medicine. This oath allowed doctors to be more accepted by society now that patients understood the role they played. Which, in turn, encourages more people to seek medical treatment when necessary. Not only does this benefit doctors as they continue to learn medicine, but it also improves the overall situation of society.
