The family notices owls surrounding the house when the letters start arriving. Worried, Mr. Dursley tried to keep them away from Harry. However, letters continue to arrive through every crack in the house. Mr. Dursley eventually grew tired of fighting to keep Harry's letters. He then decided to move the family to an isolated cabin the day before Harry's eleventh birthday. A few minutes before midnight, Harry counts down to his birthday. He had barely said it at midnight when he heard a loud crash outside the door. After the crash, the door falls to the ground and Hagrid waltzes into the cabin.
