    In this article, I have reviewed two articles and provided an analytical summary of them. The first analytically summarized article is Predictive Probes: Scientists focus on genes predisposing people to disease --- New methods will aid prevention but raise ethical and legal questions --- Should employers be told? Written by Jerry E. Bishop. In this article, I identified three ways in which the author used evidence to support his claims. I then identified where the evidence was used as well as how the author used it. I have discussed “reason-like” evidence versus “reason-supporting” evidence. I also discussed the evidence based on the problem and context. Finally for this article, I analyzed how the author signaled usage across elements with his word choices, transitions, and logical connections. The second analytically summarized article is Dark Prophecy: New test tells who a crippling disease will strike – and when --- The gene responsible for ataxia has the same defect as those that cause some cancers --- 'stuttering' in DNA by author Marilyn Chase. . In this article, I identified the author's use of three elements: experimentation, correlation, and speculation to support claims, and analyzed how the author signals the use of these elements to through language such as word choice, transitions and logical connections. three excellent examples of how the author; Jerry E.
