This personal statement aims to express my aspiration to pursue my career with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bristol. In ever-changing environments, from space travel to automobile manufacturing, there is no doubt that mechanical engineering is vital to our modern lives. I wish to achieve the highest level of education and transcend new research perspectives in mechanical engineering. I personally believe that there is substantial cachet to be gained by pursuing the field of mechanical engineering. I appreciate the diversity of the subject, the projects are broad, varied and always different, all of which makes it interesting. I am attracted by its dynamic environment in which new materials, technologies and processes are constantly developed. After completing my undergraduate studies, I got the opportunity to work with an automobile and manufacturing company, namely PEPS JV (M) Sdn. Bhd. As a manufacturing assistant, my main responsibility is to assist the head of the manufacturing department to ensure that all activities of the manufacturing department, such as production planning, production and delivery, are happening without problems, in accordance with work instructions and company policies, to ensure optimal safety. and quality product delivered on time. Most of the company's products were related to a car's suspension system. My job was therefore to ensure that all workers applied and maintained the safety standards required by law and company policies. I've been working there for almost a year; gaining so much new knowledge and invaluable experiences such as teamwork, time management and leading people makes me a more mature person. I chose the University of Bristol mainly because of its excellent research strength and quality and my belief that this institution can take me to the next level. I think they fit the areas of interest perfectly and it's the right place for me to launch my academic career.
