    Employees feel the need to lie to avoid punishment or termination at work and do whatever they have to do to get away with it. Whatever they do, they feel it is unintentional and believe their motives are good. Good people at work have a hard time coming forward and reporting unethical behavior for fear of being labeled. People fear being seen differently from their colleagues, such as complaining, damaging relationships, being blamed for the problem, or retaliation from an unethical person.
