Essay / The Beauty of Language - 2188
Your heart cannot simply be defined as an anatomical organ. Although it functions to pump blood throughout the body, the true essence of the heart is much deeper than science. The true essence of the heart lies somewhere in the limitless realm of art; immersed in the passion that flows through your veins, he desperately desires to be admired. My heart is filled with love for writing. In addition to writing to accomplish tasks and assignments, I write to reveal the beauty of language. This beauty, created simply with words, meaning and punctuation, is uniquely designed by its author. Like many writers, I learned what it means to truly create a work. Before entering university, I had gotten into the habit of writing a single draft of an essay. I never appreciated or understood the need for multiple versions and peer review. Interestingly enough, in my Intro to Rhetoric class with Dr. Mary Lamb, we discussed the difference between single editors and multiple editors. Single writers, as the name suggests, usually complete writing tasks in one go. They revise and edit during the writing process and often consider their work complete; multi-editors, on the other hand, write several drafts of their work and revise them continually. As I've learned, neither style of writing is necessarily better than the other. Indeed, both types of writers actively think about ways to improve their work, whether by correcting grammatical errors or creating new ideas. Needless to say, I was a dedicated editor, but for the wrong reasons. I have always been convinced that my first draft is always my best work. This is mainly because I did the majority of my revising and editing while writing (as I do...... middle of paper ...... a useful start to building my career As a professional writer, I have had at least some flexibility, and in many cases, to be creative. now appreciate and understand the importance of rethinking my work and allowing for change there is always room for improvement because every writer strives for some sort of perfection Since entering college, I have definitely witnessed. from my growth as a writer, I understand how words, grammar and usage each play a role in the meaning of language I continue to write, I now know that the true essence of writing comes from. heart It is passion that guides language even if the brain allows us to function, it is the heart that keeps us alive and my heart forever; filled with love for writing.
