    Whereas a person can benefit greatly from social networking websites; rather, this benefit will likely be outweighed by the negative impacts these sites impose on society as a whole. Currently, 1 in 3 people (2.3 billion) in the world access the Internet either for communication purposes or to use information. Such a tendency to communicate in the digital age brings substantial changes to individuals as well as their social behavior. As beneficial as it may be for an individual to have the ability to be online 24/7 for multiple purposes, but during that same time, countless people across America are exposed online harassment (cyberbullying). criminal activity on virtual platforms (cybercrime) and addiction linked to social media activities. These people are vulnerable simply because they are active users of social networks; therefore, society as a whole has to deal with the disastrous and sudden result of suicide due to cyberbullying (bullying). That's the least we can say. It also doesn't improve when it comes to cybercrime or user addiction. To make matters worse, people at risk for certain conditions (mental health issues, such as depression and bipolar imbalance) tend to undermine the benefits they might otherwise gain from participating in social media.
