  • Essay / plans for the future - 817

“What are my plans for the future?” ". This question comes to my mind often and is frequently asked by my elders. As my junior year of high school begins to fade and my senior year approaches, this question never seems to subside. I asked myself this question and came up with two ideal plans: joining the military, volunteering in a program to go abroad to help those less fortunate, traveling and seeing the world and finding the one to live life with. rest of my life. . I think planning is like an architect-designer who takes the time to translate his image from his mind onto paper, when finished it is carefully constructed to perfection. I understand that these plans could eventually change, but without a plan, I cannot begin my journey. Joining the military is my ideal first plan. This idea came from my cousin and other people close to me, who are also in the military. I spent time with them and while they may say bad things about them overall, they showed me how much good hard work and dedication to the military can do a person and they can do great things. I've seen them struggle with a lot of things and they seem to overcome everything they encounter. I admire what they do and the way they behave and that's why I want to be like them when I join them. Before I get out of high school, I will have to join ROTC, before going into the military just to learn the basics. I will study my best for the asvab test and when I pass it I will immediately join the army and leave soon and for basic training. The first thing I do with my salary is send the money to my mother so she can have some stability and not have to worry about money. For a long time, my mother has been talking about a... middle of paper ......ist as long as I follow them. All these projects, I think, suit me very much, Joining the army would be a real honor to help people, even if it's just a small thing, is a very rewarding thing to do. I thought about these plans for a long time, but never really understood that this was what I wanted for my future. In less than a year I'll be eighteen, I don't want to be one of those people who graduates high school and has no idea what I want in life and waits forever to to take a step forward. By putting this plan in place, I think I could succeed. So those are my goals, after all “A goal without a plan is just a wish”. Now that I've got my priorities straight, I think it's going to be a lot easier from now on. I still have to finish high school, so for now all my energy and time will be focused on school..
