    I chose work, exchange and technology as a subject because these two elements combined have a great influence in daily life and in the history of the United States. As children about to enter the adult world, learning about the work and work systems of the past is really important and personally, I would really be interested in it. Concepts like slavery are really interesting because being a minority, I still find oppression in work and acts of nativism very shocking. I don't like expressing my religion, culture and heritage very much and I try not to distinguish myself from others because of my ethnicity. Learning about oppression in the world of work interests me and shows me how people rose up to protest against those who distinguished them from others. The interactions between individuals and their influences on the economy can control the course of history and the events that take place there. Some of the important interactions in our lives are the small interactions that shape friendships and relationships. Technology controls every teenager's life and seeing how technology has shaped America's past is really interesting. Like modern companies like Apple, Samsung, and Windows, technological advancements have likely had a huge impact on society and transformed some people's lives. These three topics work together and describe the history of our country and can be evidenced by multiple events in history. The invention of the cotton gin's effect on society, the role and policies of government expansion, and the establishment of the first American labor systems present the major theme of American history d 'AP: work, exchange and technology. Slavery was one of the most important parts of American history, but slavery obviously wasn't established overnight. The primary workforce in America began as captured Native Americans. Native American groups such as the Aztecs, Incas, and Tainos knew the surrounding area and could easily plant crops. When the Europeans arrived, their only priority was gold and slaves, and the Indian people could help them in both areas. The Indians went looking for gold, but found none, as some natives were put on ships and taken back to Europe to be used as slaves.
