Yes, I am a registered organ donor, but think of the outcry the government would cause if it were made mandatory. There are many ways to make this mandatory, and I think these steps need to be taken. Personally, I think that an allowance, or even a reduction, would be a valuable asset to encourage people to donate. Anything that would encourage people to become organ donors, other than making it mandatory, would be the best option. People tend not to want to do something that is obligatory, so a reward system for those who are donors gives people a reason to become one..
