    The issue of stricter gun control laws is an ongoing battle that continues to be debated at the local and federal levels. Regardless of one's point of view on the issue, this topic gives rise to a very heated debate on both sides. The question is whether stricter laws and regulations will help reduce the number of gun-related crimes. Obviously, the answers vary considerably depending on the point of view of the stakeholders. Often, horrific gun crimes are committed by people who do not value human life, resulting in mental problems. In this type of case, it makes no difference how many laws are in place, because if a mentally disturbed person is determined to get a gun to carry out his plan, that's a gun he will get . When individuals decide to use a gun to commit a crime, they find a way to secure the gun, whether legally or illegally. This reminds us of the adage: “When you want, you can.” » Therefore, implementing stricter gun laws and reducing the number of gun permits issued would, for the most part, have a negative impact on good, law-abiding citizens. This is the group that could fall prey to the criminal who will possess and use a weapon, no matter what they have to do to obtain it. In situations where a good citizen becomes the victim, whether intentional or not, and comes face to face with an individual with criminal intentions, a gun would be a far greater deterrent than trying to rationalize with the criminal.
