New Leaf Paper published a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), which contains a study that actually proves that recycled paper is better for forests, species, freshwater systems and climate (Martin, 2015). However, paper can only be recycled a maximum of seven to ten times. Recycling alone is not enough to save the environment, as all waste paper ends up in the landfill after being recycled several times (Lauren, 2014). People therefore need to be aware of the negative effects of paper consumption. McDonough and Braungart introduce the argument in the book "Use Less Stuff: Environmental Solutions for Who We Really Are" by Robert Lilienfeld and William Rathje that the ever-increasing consumption of goods and services results from all major environmental problems (2002 ). . They argue that “the best way to reduce any environmental impact is not to recycle more, but to produce and dispose of less” (McDonough and Braungart, 2002).
