  • Essay / Does Donald Trump Deserve to Be President: “Birther Movement” and Impeached

The name Donald Trump has been heard by almost every individual living on this planet today. The President of the United States is a well-known political figure, recognized not only in his country of presidency (the United States of America), but also throughout the world. He was involved in movements, campaigns, and business before becoming president, and was a very successful businessman. He was still commercially known at the time, but not as prominent as he is today, as President of the United States. Known around the world for participating in the "quasi-world war," President Donald Trump created and reinforced a physical wall between countries (between Mexico and the United States), as well as a metaphorical wall between families, friends and political groups. His impeachment seems to raise a question: is he a good American leader or not? In order to answer this question myself, I decided to conduct research based on two articles from the Jewish Journal (President Donald Trump is the cancer during these divisive times and President Donald Trump is the chemo during these divisive times division), one for and one against. The presidency of Donald Trump. In this report/essay, I will discuss both articles (starting with the article by someone opposed to Trump), followed each by my reasoning for/against the president and my final decision on whether or not I believe that Donald Trump should be president of the United States of America. This article acknowledged and accepted many of Donald Trump's flaws, misconceptions, and shortcomings. The article can probably provoke in many readers the idea that President Donald Trump is a reasonable leader, who had no choice but to choose to use his redundant responses to political matters. I believe the article is fully capable of helping undecided and ambivalent voters lean to the Republican side of the election, and perhaps even influencing Democratic supporters to vote for the Republican leader. “Trumpism is an attempt to end, or even cure, what is ailing in the United States of America,” this quote alone is capable of changing people's views on Donald Trump. Why does Donald Trump deserve to be president? Well, one good thing that Donald Trump managed to accomplish is to indirectly kill the former leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. After being surrounded by American troops, Abu Bakr al-Baghdad committed suicide. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is responsible for the lives of thousands, if not millions, of people. Another benefit of his presidency is that he created 4 million new jobs, which explains why more Americans than ever are employed. In fact, unemployment rates have reached their lowest level in 49 years. Even unemployment rates for African Americans have reached the lowest level on record. Donald Trump also helped get 3.9 million Americans off food stamps. Donald Trump clearly cares about the well-being of his people and the American economy. Donald Trump is also the reason why 95 percent of American manufacturers are optimistic about the future. Keep in mind that this is the largest number of U.S. manufacturers optimistic – ever! However, I found this information on whitehouse.gov, so can wetrust this information? Isn't this biased? Do the president's positive decisions outweigh his negative decisions? The article written from the perspective of a Trump opponent alleges various facts that can be used against the US president. It contained a lot of information regarding the president's negative attributes. This article successfully created feelings of resentment and opposition to President Trump among readers. The examples of Donald Trump's contrary behavior that the author has included in this text could very easily change the impression Donald Trump gives to people from an appropriate leader to an absurdly inadequate leader. Such examples include: Donald Trump has caused feelings of insecurity among nearly 75% of American Jews, his "inhumane detention of migrant children" (as the article puts it), his identification as a nationalist (a headline correlated with Nazism and “white supremacy”) and his behavior of hatred and total racism towards many American citizens. To show the childishness of the president, the writer (Larry Garfield) decided to discuss the time when President Trump joined forces with racist conspiracy theorists, who demanded that former President Barack Obama disclose his act birth certificate, university transcripts and passport records. The writer believed that if Donald Trump had not joined these people and become a promoter of the "Birther movement", he would not have been chosen as the Republican candidate for president, much less elected president. This article projects President Trump's recklessness, immaturity, and lack of fundamentals. Why would Donald Trump be impeached? Was he impeached because of his political performance? His personal behavior? The president not only continues to make bad policy choices, but he is also a bad person overall, and that has nothing to do with him being president. “I have great relationships with black people.” “I said if Ivanka wasn't my daughter, maybe I would date her. “Every woman on The Apprentice has flirted with me, consciously or unconsciously. It was to be expected. “There was one person who was extremely proud that a number of women had become doctors. And that didn't interest me. These are all quotes uttered by the esteemed American President, a racist and sexist man. Not only does he call darker-skinned people “black,” but he also views women as mere objects. Does he have the right to say that he does not care about female doctors, who save lives? No. No one should say that, least of all a president who represents an entire country. These are some of his sweetest comments. I have chosen not to include all of the horrible things he said in this essay because they are very inappropriate. He has also made ridiculous comments about things in the political realm and things that affect the ENTIRE WORLD. “It’s freezing and snowing in New York – we need global warming!” ". I don't know if he meant that sarcastically or not, but nonetheless, a person who is a leader should never say that they need global warming. “I’m their worst nightmare.” - Trump on the Democrats. When I think of that phrase, I think of two middle schoolers arguing, not the president of such a powerful country. “I take advantage of the laws of the nation. Because I run a business. If that doesn't prove to people that Donald Trump is a bad president, then I don't know what will. He admitted that he was abusing his privilege as president, something no one else would dare do. Not only is Donald Trump failing as president, but he.
