I asked my student if there was a reason for behaving so rudely to me and of course she didn't answer. That's when the thoughts stirred in my head again: How long should I let this person continue to be rude to me and others? After all, we are trying to help him. The countertransference occurred when her actions made me think about how she treated others and me, my ability to handle situations with her, and my inability to anticipate her next move. This made me aware of my student's interpersonal skills (which are limited) and the approach I should take to address
