Even fast food prices are considerably more expensive than other places. For example, eating at Chipotle in Montgomery County runs around $8 per person, while in New York the price is $11 per person at the same fast food restaurant. Transportation is also another expensive factor to consider when visiting New York. Taxis, trains, parking rates and metro tickets are things to consider as they are more expensive than other places. While visiting New York with my girlfriend, we had to pay numerous tolls on our way into the city, all amounting to just $80 in tolls. There are many tolls to pay and most of them cost no less than $2.50. That's an absurd amount of money for what to expect in New York as a vacation spot. Parking is a fun and almost unbelievable thing. New York is known for its absurd parking prices. It's funny to think that some parking lots are in alleys between buildings, without security cameras or any security guards. These makeshift parking lot owners are nothing but clowns because they have the nerve to charge up to $90 per car for up to 4 hours, making the situation very inconvenient for visitors traveling by car.
