Essay / My motivation for studying a Masters in Automotive Technology
I stick to the quote from the famous actor Seam Hampton: "A dream without ambition is like a car without gasoline, you're going nowhere", which makes always run my engine. and guides me on the path of my dreams. My fascination with machines and my thirst for experimental studies among automotive technology experts motivated me to apply for a master's degree in automotive technology at Eindhoven University of Technology. A series of cars powered by a single-block engine aroused my fascination from a very young age. All the answers to my curious mind were found when I visited a locomotive maintenance depot where my father worked. I was fascinated by the huge engine blocks and turbo units and was amazed when I looked at the heavy machinery. My taste for machines eventually increased and I continued to visit this place long after I graduated from high school. By interacting with the engineers, I started realizing my dream of becoming a mechanical engineer. When I was a schoolboy, I had extraordinary dreams - dreams that I wanted to turn into reality. My zeal to succeed and my competitive spirit only motivated me to stand out among everyone and complete my high school education with an aggregate of 91% which was later improved to 96% during my intermediate studies. During my undergraduate studies at VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, I endeavored to dig down to the roots of my study. Throughout the course, I found myself delving deeper into topics such as thermodynamics, thermal engineering, machine kinematics and dynamics, and machine drawing. Never fully satisfied with conventional classroom learning, I tried to learn from every source possible. I wanted to follow practical, industrial training, which explains my extended stays in the laboratories. This led me to achieve an academic total of 8.73 (CGPA) during my undergraduate studies. A strong believer in hands-on training, I worked hard to imbibe the practical concepts of the field and found myself participating in other extracurricular activities outside of my classroom to explore the field in depth. I completed a certificate course on CATIA and ANSYS from Central Institute of Tool Design, India. Additionally, I had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on the engine blocks of various two- and four-wheelers during the Fast Track assembly and disassembly workshop organized by Ezenith. I learned with the greatest interest how an engine works. I continued my internship with Indian South Central Railways, where I worked on turbochargers of diesel locomotives, which gave me in-depth knowledge on the design and operation of turbochargers used in locomotives. My passion for machines and my knowledge of transmissions grew. It was at the end of my third year that I got the opportunity to be an on-site intern in the manufacturing and inspection divisions of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, a very well-known industry in the country. During this phase, I gained real temporal exposure to the manufacturing industry and how it works. I learned in detail about the challenges and problems faced in manufacturing, then learned the solutions and operation. My enthusiasm for construction materials was further strengthened when I participated, with a team of 24 people, in the.
