    "Justice: Lessons of Love from Childhood" and "Beliefs about Families" We have movement in today's society today. With lateral movements we remain inactive and with upward movements we improve in education, sports practice, etc. These two movements are caused by many factors in our daily lives, but they are nevertheless the effects of what we experience in the past. Misguidance, love, affection, neglect and leadership come from our closest group or family. In “Justice: Childhood Love Lessons,” bell hooks points out that “when children are abused, either materially or by being allowed to act out” (463), this is an example of a form of neglect. Mary Phiper also depicts the effects of lack of love, parenting and neglect within our most fundamental foundation of our society, the family. In “Beliefs about Families,” Pipher argues that “the family need not be traditional or biological” (379).
