The importance of photosynthesis and what it does for lifeLife according to scientists is "the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity and continuous change before death, also the way of life of a human being or an animal. Composed of cells, living beings are capable of reproducing, using energy, maintaining homeostasis, reacting and adapting to the environment, growing and developing, having a lifespan, to evolve over time and to be interdependent. All nine characteristics have one. something in common, something that all living things need, even if they don't know it. This beautiful thing that all living beings should value is photosynthesis. Without photosynthesis, there would be no humans, animals, insects and most living things. and above all life! What is photosynthesis?According to scientists, photosynthesis is “the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize food from carbon dioxide and 'water. Photosynthesis in plants generally involves the green pigment chlorophyll and generates oxygen as a byproduct. (“photo•syn•the•sis,”)What does photosynthesis do for living things? Photosynthesis is a key contributor to all living things; Photosynthesis provides the oxygen, food, and nutrients that help all living things stay healthy and alive. Photosynthesis converts solar energy into the chemical energy of a carbohydrate. Photosynthetic organisms, including land plants, algae, and cyanobacteria, called autotrophs... middle of paper ......, shelter, material, and oxygen necessary for all living things; have cells capable of reproducing, using energy, maintaining homeostasis, responding and adapting to the environment, growing and developing, having a lifespan, evolve over time and be interdependent. As a society, we must take care of our environment. We can recycle more, stop using harmful gases to produce the luxuries we take for granted, shelter trees, get rid of cigarettes, use solar energy to power our homes and clean up trash on the streets. Going green is the right thing to do because it not only makes our environment look healthy, but it helps us as a human race survive and live longer. Without photosynthesis there is no earth, we must take care of our environment not because it is the right thing to do, but just as we depend on photosynthesis to live, photosynthesis depends on us to survive.!
