The symbol on the collar represents destiny. The dark figure of Laius's murderer is not known to the choir. However, they believe that Destiny will not fail to find the killer. The words “the pack of sure-footed Fates will follow” evoke the visual sense of a scene with trained dogs desperately searching for a target.
