    Religion in Brave New World is considered useless: “What's next? Obviously, we can be independent of God. “Religious feeling will compensate us for all our losses. “But we have no loss to compensate; religious feeling is superfluous” (Huxley). According to this society, religion has no reason to exist, it is only a means of compensation, and if nothing is to be compensated, it has no purpose. Many people turn to a higher power when things are difficult in their own lives, but if they think nothing is wrong in their life, there is no reason to seek a God to believe in. People can seek a higher power. for all reasons including; a way of explaining things, of having faith that someone has your best interest in mind and that all the difficult things that may happen to you have a purpose. However, none of these issues are relevant. Brave New World further eliminates the ability for people to seek religion, as all sacred texts are forbidden. Furthermore, if an individual felt the need to search for a God, they would have nowhere to look. Throughout the novel, people praise Henry Ford and even note the years of use of the AF system (After Ford). While some in our society would praise “Our Lord,” the New World praises “Our Ford.” This concept further illustrates how the love of technology has replaced any desire for spirituality. In summary, religion had no place in the New World due to banned religious texts and the praise of a
