Introduction: Faiz, 40, and Ghulam, 11, sitting at her home before their wedding in rural Afghanistan in 2005. A 40-year-old man sits to be photographed with his 11-year-old fiancée. Before sitting down, the girl told the photographer that she was so sad that she didn't want to get married. She wanted to go to school and her favorite subject was Dari, which is our local language. Although she didn't even know the meaning of marriage, her family forced her to marry this old man. (Burke, 2012) It is the fundamental right of human beings to marry or not. Marriage has difficult conditions. The first is the agreement and happiness of both parties, which is the most important factor for the validity of a marriage. Second, there is the age requirement for marriage on both sides. Third, it is the responsibility of each individual to officially register their marriage. All the conditions mentioned are very important, but their absence leads to the violation of the right to marry or not to marry (Rawish, 2008). Unfortunately, Afghanistan is one of those countries where child marriage has been a long-standing problem. Although this is a serious problem, it has not been adequately addressed. Thus, this article aims to mainly examine the different forms of child marriage in Afghanistan, its main causes, their impacts, and it will provide some important recommendations to avoid and resolve this problem. Context: Political and social transitions in Afghanistan have caused women to suffer many difficulties and challenges. One of the biggest challenges women face is violence. It is evident that violence against women is one of the most significant problems in Afghanistan and has become an obstacle to women's development.
