Essay / Reflecting on Inclusion in Education - 723
I learned so much about inclusion in these first few chapters and had no idea how much information I didn't know. A very important aspect highlighted is that the fight for inclusion has come a long way before the 1950s, but there is still much to be done to ensure inclusion for everyone everywhere in the United States. It seems that some more rural areas are not strictly adhering to the new laws and mandates, but are moving at a snail's pace to ensure that all students are treated equally, but this is seen when it comes to any diversity in education. I also learned that teachers and typically developing children learn so much from each other that inclusion has only helped our society instead of harming it.
