Religion is universal among human groups. In general, religion is defined as a symbolic system dealing with the relationship of human beings with the supernatural, with divine or spiritual beings, or with matters that transcend mundane reality. (Womack) Mystical, spiritual, and enlightened are just a few words that describe the Kabbalah belief system. Kabbalah, which means to receive, is based on the fundamental belief that all humans were placed on this earth to possess total goodness and complete fulfillment through the light of the Creator. Growing up with joy, happiness and fulfillment is the ultimate achievement for all humans and something that all humans can achieve. The history of Kabbalah belief has been recently rediscovered in the last 100 years, although it began in 100CE. Rav Shimon Bar Yochai (100 – 160 CE) established this belief system and was held responsible for writing the “Secret Wisdom,” which is a book that explains the workings of the universe. This book is called the Zohar or the Book of Splendor. After Rav Shimon Bar Yochai created and refined his writings, he realized that because the world was not ready for wisdom, it was not revealed and in return, the Rav is hidden. . The teachings of the Zohar aim to get closer to the light of the Creator and follow in his footsteps and one of the most important symbols of belief. The Zohar, which was originally in Aramaic, and translated into Hebrew by the same Rav, tells us why the world is such a corrupt place. He goes on to say that because humans have to take sides, they are always at war with both sides that possess good and evil traits. The ego or the desire to receive for oneself alone: the desire to ensure that the self is everything. .... middle of paper ...... truth about them. The Zohar of Kabbalah is known to be a book of codes kept secret for thousands of years. The creators deliberately produced a hidden message behind a message that will never be discovered, because over time, stories always change and so do their meanings. I can't help but think that people can agree with different parts of a story, but say that the person who said it was wrong or forgot some vital information. Therefore, she has created something that tells "the whole truth" which is probably there an interpretation of the truth which may very well be the actual truth. However the symbols in our world are represented to us, they all have meanings that are important to someone somewhere and will be forgotten. They will only flow from one system to another because the stories behind them will never die..
