  • Essay / What I will do to succeed in this course - 899

The first step to success, no matter what you are trying to succeed at, is to recognize your weaknesses, strengths, and limitations. I know I have several myself, and when I say several, I mean several weak points when it comes to writing articles. The first and deadliest for a student who wants to do well is procrastination. I will always postpone writing an article until the last minute. In fact, I'm doing it right now as I write this. I'm already doing what I say I'm not supposed to do. You can probably tell I'm off to a good start. The next thing on the list of things that will brutally murder a student who wants to succeed in class are distractions. Of course, there are a multitude of things that can distract you at any time, especially shiny objects, although I've found that I'm most revered by distractions that take the form of sounds when trying to write an article. To counter this, I do something that sort of contradicts itself, even though it's the most important part of discovering your weaknesses. You have to do something and overcome them. This is the subject of this article; overcoming my writing problems and problems in order to become a better writer (and by reading this, you might learn a thing or two yourself). Writing, as you know, can be a very long and laborious process, which sometimes makes me want to gouge my eyes out with an ice cream scoop. I'd rather like to think the latter would be less painful, but not having done it, I wouldn't know. I think this because it's so annoying to me that I would do just about anything to make it stop. So this leads me to put off the painful process until the last minute because I don't want to do it, which... middle of paper......and I just skimmed over it and said, “Excellent job.” There is something else that will also help a student like me, and it's called...CHECK THE SPELLING! This can be a lifesaver for someone who has to type all their papers (me) because they don't care about your topic; all he cares about is if you're grammatically correct and can spell! Without spell check, I would probably fail my English class. Of course, that's not what a good student, which is me, wants, so I'm going to use it and all my other recourses. This list mainly includes the Student Center, my literature book, and some things you might not even think about right off the bat, like music and anti-procrastination spray (it's like bug spray, but better). I know these things don't seem like much, but when combined they can turn a good article into a great article..
