Gender inequality didn't just start in the workplace. It started before that. Throughout history, women have always been expected to be the ones to take care of children at home, while men were the breadwinners. People hear about this and what was happening in Shakespeare's time and even in other cultures. Because of the fact that women gained rights, fought hard for them, and the change that our society has experienced, a change that may take some time to get used to. It is difficult to be equal to man not only in the workplace but also in normal daily life. Since our age is so well educated, we need to change our mentality that women are changing roles in the home or workplace and that men are comfortable having a wife who can be au- above him in the management of the company. Slowly but surely, those in the business world should strive to narrow the gender gap, so that women are equal to men. Some measures have already been put in place to eliminate the gender gap. This involves measures such as the Equal Pay Act of 1963 which required women to receive equal pay for the same work they did as men.
