Modernization, Westernization and IslamBackground: The main objective of this research is to examine the issue from three aspects, namely • What is the position of Islam on modernization?• What is Islam's position on Westernization?• What is the main difference between modernization and Westernization? I was compelled to do this research for several reasons. First, the widespread phenomenon that Muslims are a backward faith and that Islam is in principle opposed to the development of science and technology. Second, because Muslims have not been able to make significant strides in science and technology in recent times. This research now aims to address all aspects of this debate about the extent to which Islam supports modernization. To begin with, I will begin by dividing this debate into the following stages: • Contribution of Muslims to science and technology • Contribution of Muslims to infrastructure and architecture • Islamic reforms in society That being said, I hope that this research will open new horizons of thought. for other readers and bring out hidden aspects. Not only that, but this research will also provide many arguments to other readers that will help them in any debate on the subject and will ensure that anyone who has read this article is not able to respond to an argument that questions Islamic credibility and its position on the ever-changing world which is now transformed into a global village. I pray that by the grace of Allah (swt), this article is not in vain and serves its purpose well.
