Table of contentsMy early childhoodMy educationMy careerIn the context of my autobiographical essay, it is essential to understand my background. My name is Tharun and I was born on December 18, 2004 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My parents are Suresh and Karolina. Unfortunately, both my grandparents have passed away. My grandmother died when I was just four years old, in 2008, at the age of 65, from lung cancer, the result of her long-term smoking habit. When I was a child, I tried to convince her to quit smoking, but she wouldn't listen to me. My grandfather, on the other hand, died at the age of 69 in 2010 from a massive heart attack, just after Spain won the World Cup against the Netherlands by a score of 2- 1. His lifelong smoking habit likely contributed to his health problems. Fortunately, I was wise enough to avoid this harmful habit. Say no to plagiarism. My father worked as a computer systems analyst for Q -net, and my mother was a jewelry designer. Being an only child, I had a happy and somewhat spoiled upbringing. My grandparents divorced when I was eight, but they both remarried within a year of the divorce. My grandfather remained married to my step-grandmother until his death, while my grandmother married two more times. Despite their divorce, both my grandparents kept me out of their personal conflicts and they got along well at events where they were both present. I lived with my parents until I was 16 and in high school. My Education During my sophomore year of high school, I began hanging out with friends who led me down a difficult path. My friend Aaron and I engaged in various activities, including neglecting homework and eating in class. I was on a dangerous trajectory, but I was fortunate to recognize it before causing significant harm. I decided to change my environment by moving in with my uncle, changing schools and choosing new friends to avoid further trouble. This new start allowed me to complete my primary studies without further incidents. My dream was to graduate from Nobel International School High in 2020. Despite my previous questionable behavior, I always aspired to become a radiological surgeon, a career I could only pursue after I turned 18. To pass the time and stay out of trouble, I worked in a sports store as a cashier while studying. I also considered joining the army, which took me to Fort Benning, Selangor, for basic training, advanced infantry training and airborne jump school. The military experience proved transformative and helped me turn around my difficult teenage years. After my military service, I worked as a waiter and bartender while going through the lengthy application process to enroll at Oxford University. At the end of my studies, I was finally ready to pursue my dream of becoming a radiological surgeon. I applied to the Cleveland Clinic in the United States, renowned as the best hospital in the world, and to Assistance Hôpitaux Publiques de Paris, the ninth largest hospital in the world, located in France, where my favorite football team plays. be accepted by Assistance Hôpitaux Publique de Paris, but unfortunately, the Cleveland Clinic did not need additional radiological surgeons due to its existing staff. Fortunately, I was admitted to the Paris Public Hospital Assistance in 2025,.
