Capital Punishment Should Be Abolished Capital punishment is a brutal and outdated concept that must be abolished in the name of a civilized society. Every year, in just America, land of freedom + righteous people, 650 people added 2 condemned to death + 105 people executed. The death penalty is the most severe form of punishment in the world today. Once the jury has proven the criminal's guilt, it moves on to the second part of the trial: the punishment phase. The application of CP is a sadistic and macabre activity, which appeals to the darkest aspects of human nature: anger and malice. Capital punishment violates the right to life, a right that everyone has, even if they are a mass murderer. No one should kill 4 people for one crime, no matter how bad the crime is, because 2 wrongs don't make a right. There is no humane way to inflict death. I believe that capital punishment should be made illegal not only in America, but throughout the world. The reasons are firstly that there is the possibility of executing someone who is innocent. If this happens, it cannot be undone - whereas if the person had been imprisoned, they could have been released and received compensation. Secondly, I think that the death penalty is not a punishment because the criminal is not punished here as if he were in prison in poor living conditions and without freedom. Those who sentenced 2 to death are normally hanged. Often this method does not kill the criminal immediately, but leaves him hanging on the rope around his neck, until he dies by strangulation, slowly and painfully...... middle of paper.. .... natives to 4 million life imprisonment, 4 major crimes, 2 community service and fines 4 less serious crimes, such as shoplifting. Punishment is ment 2 b 4 the protection of society. He claims that 2b is a deterrent to other potential criminals. C p is a failure in these respects. This should prevent the perpetrator from repeating the crime, but this is of very little importance because murders almost never occur as a series of repeated, continuous acts. You must express your opposition, but you pay dearly for it. Barbarians, that's what we have become, barbarians. We kill each other and instead of mourning the tragedy, we want to satisfy our bloodlust by killing the murderer. We must learn to care for these people while we control them. Yes, we must punish them, but let's not become them. Otherwise, what difference is there between us criminals?
