Essay / Public Administration: Intervention - 787
As I read this week's material and the question presented. I'm curious about the word intervention. The past six years of operating under a continuing resolution have adjusted our expectations of what we can afford and how we (as a country) have adapted to emerging demands. Budgets exist to fundamentally anticipate how commitments can be mitigated (Shayfritz & Hyde, 2007). Constraints are identified by the nature of the risk that will be caused if the budget cannot support (Pai, 2013). At the same time, the budget should also introduce the ideal of revenue distribution. How much can we save and how much can we gain through taxation. Certain key events in history have helped us recognize the constant evolution of needs, demands and capabilities (Day, 2011). Ending the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, reducing U.S. forces and capabilities, and legalizing marijuana will become the lines of effort that will grow the budget cycle as a triad of resistance to balance the economy. Budget constraints did not end the war; dismantling the effectiveness of terrorist networks to promote an agenda that threatens global sovereign stability has slowed them down. There will be a cost of moving troops, depotting equipment, and accepting the risks of what happens once U.S. forces leave. The budget will be responsible for the marriage of the integration of available funding and the net capacity applied to each strategic issue that arises. The level of intervention to address this problem cannot be achieved with Congress as a stakeholder. Congress would not be invited to the table even to discuss possibilities on how to balance the budget. Congress needs intervention. We have all witnessed the intransigent politics...... middle of paper... of the government and the people. Karl Rove would be the honest broker and defender of the panel's presence at the conference. As presenter, Karl Rove would be both the representative of the real threat of failing to achieve and control a balanced budget and the messenger to a panel of idealists with the resumes and accomplishments to validate their position. Who knows what the outcome would be if such an intervention could ever take place. The current budget trend has been the same for some time now. Congress would likely not be receptive to analysis and financial and/or emotional support from participants.Works CitedDay, GS (2011). Bridging the marketing capability gap.
