Essay / Women are still fighting for equal rights - 2897
“Women's empowerment results from a process in which women can freely analyze, develop and express their needs and interests without them being predefined or unintentionally imposed by religion, government or social norms. and where their influence and control extends women's family/kinship circles” (Haghighat, par.6). There is a continuing fight for women's rights all over the world. Men have gained more power than women, especially in economic and political power, and their rights are not limited as women's rights are. There are no limits in men while women are limited in many things. “When the right to vote was granted to women between the late 1800s and 1920s, it was a watershed moment in the women's rights movement in Western Europe and North American democracies” (“Women's Rights ")."Women's rights groups in the second half of the 20th century focused on greater legal equality in terms of wages and credit, reproductive rights, family law, and education » (“Women’s Rights”). Women's rights are limited to them and it is time to give them more equality rights because women should enjoy equality in all aspects of their lives. They are unable to empower themselves due to the rights not afforded to them. Empowerment is about increasing the spiritual, political, social, educational, gender or economic strength of individuals or communities. It's about achieving your goals to the best of your ability with your potential.
