    A case that stood out during a pediatric rotation in Houston involved a 2-year-old girl diagnosed with Henoch-Schonlein purpura who was brought in by his mother. The mother became frantic and panicked, I sympathized with her plight as a parent, reassuring her to be taken care of emotionally. This case embodies my approach to pediatrics, as I cared for the emotional state of the parents and patient while working with my team to reach a diagnosis as quickly as possible. More recently, my immense passion for research, particularly in the field of immunology, inspired me to pursue an opportunity to work in the research laboratory of Dr. Dat Tran at the University of Texas School of Medicine at Houston.
