  • Essay / Café Dining: An Overview of Hospitality - 1402

Furniture - I chose three main types of café seating and an additional bar stool that can accommodate up to six people for added convenience if they just want a quick sandwich. I placed six small tables for 2 people in the far corner where the bay windows are so they could enjoy the view. There are then six larger tables which each seat 4 people, these are in the middle of the room next to the 2 person table as this helps to utilize the space and maintain the seating area instead of spreading it out. If there are school groups who might need a larger table, there are two six-person tables right in the middle of the room and the option to add an additional one. table if necessary before the school arrives, there is also a corner table in the upper right corner of the room, this has six bar stools and provides seating for customers who will not be spending long and other seats are all full. 4-person tables are a standard form that can be assembled for larger groups. I chose square tables so they could be assembled for larger groups, as the circular table cannot be assembled easily. With the number of tables and seats, the café can accommodate up to 54 people with an additional dozen children in the Kids Korner. The Kids Korner has a TV stand and table where they can get dot-to-dot drawings and match fish, they learn activities to help them remember what they learned earlier in the aquarium. There is a small partition wall in the aquarium that separates the Kids Korner from the seating area so that parents/guardians can always keep an eye on their children, but other visitors can also have peace. There is also a Packed Lunch Bar next to the entrance/exit, intended for parents who wish to purchase a small packed lunch for their child to eat later in the day or simply for people who do not want to waiting in line but want to buy a quick meal. snack they can take with them. Next to the Packed Lunch Bar are trash cans for people to throw their trash at the exit. When people enter the cafe, fish-shaped footprints guide them to the food counter and an aquarium divides them. space so that when people walk around there can be a longer queue and they also have something interesting to look at.
