Essay / Love and Love in the Ramayan Rama and Sitna - 702
When Sita walks around the hermitage to pick different beautiful flowers, she sees the beautiful deer that Ravana has sent. The deer captivates the woman's mind and she begs her husband to trap it even though Laksmana is wary of this strange, colorful and brilliant creature. Because Rama possesses devotion to his wife, he takes “Sita's side and [says] to Laksmana: 'It is beautiful, Laksmana. It’s unusual’” (Valmiki 706). Correlating to their positions in the poem, a husband who would stop at nothing to make his wife happy would react the same way as Rama. If a woman wanted something, her husband would remain faithful and try desperately to give her what she desires because of his soul's unwavering connection and emotion.
