    Today's adolescents are directly influenced by the many social media, causing subordinate messages that sometimes remain invisible to many. Television is one of the biggest influences surrounding a culture, bombarding adolescents with messages – some good, some bad. Not only does television have the power to inform and entertain, but it is also capable of shaping the beliefs and influencing the identities of young adolescent viewers. Television can have negative effects such as greed, superiority and a sense of entitlement, which cause corruption in the minds of viewers as well as in our society. With television being one of the major forces of social corruption, it is only natural that teenagers would turn to it. its messages as a source of guidance. Over the years, the depiction of teenage greed seems to have become increasingly linked to reality shows across generations. On shows such as My Super Sweet Sixteen and The Hills, which air on the Music Television (MTV) network, teenagers act out of ignorance, yet they are celebrated, even idolized, for such behavior. Some may say that these shows are broadcast purely for "entertainment purposes" or showing the "wealthy side of the spectrum", but the messages behind them are pretentious in nature and demonstrate the negative influences of greed, animosity and selfishness. Even though dramas are a subgenre of reality television series, the genre is still being researched. According to Urban Dictionary, "dramatization" can be defined as "an evolution of the television genre of 'reality series' that mixes realistic and fictional elements."
