Inside this museum we find a large collection of objects, ranging from different categories, related to the history of Kosovo. Within this complex we also have a professional laboratory which is used to restore damaged artifacts. At first, the museum had a small and modest ethnography collection, then slowly began a systematic collection of field exhibits. In the ethnological sector, for 50 years of activity, although several thousand exhibits (jewelry, textiles, metal, wood, pottery, etc.) have been collected in different regions of Kosovo, the research until that time were partial. The Albanian provinces and villages could not be explored, as this required the science of ethnology and therefore the collection of materials was superficial. However, as we mentioned and in the title of this article, Pristina not only has a national museum, but also another museum. This is the Ethnological Museum, also known as the Emin Xhiku Complex. The Ethnological Museum is part of the cultural heritage of Kosovo and is a cultural monument protected by the state. In the courtyard of the building you can see ancient houses, among which an object from the 18th-19th centuries, one of the most important Albanian life cycles in the museum where is jealously guarded: the birth ritual, the death rite , life and cultural traditions.
