Have you ever wondered if there was a place where gods lived and what their city would look like if they did? If so, you are in luck because you will read about the “Lost City of Atlantis”. In 350 BC, Plato speaks of an island in the Atlantic Ocean that eventually submerged. People have been searching for Atlantis for many years. Plato wrote about life in Atlantis. He describes the Atlanticians as great engineers and architects. It had palaces, ports, temples and docks. The Capitol was built on a hill and was surrounded by numerous rings filled with water. These were connected to canals large enough for a ship to navigate through those connected to the ocean. Plato wrote of huge fields outside the capital where farmers grew the city's food. Beyond the farmers' fields, there were mountains where the wealthy villagers lived. Plato detailed the amazing buildings; there were cold and hot fountains, dining rooms and stone walls covered with precious metals. He described it as a peaceful utopia. For thousands of years, Atlantis was just a story....
